Nature Will Speak To You If You Let It

About five years ago I was introduced to forest bathing and it literally changed my life. And for the many people I’ve been fortunate to expose to forest bathing during the retreats I host, it’s changed their lives too. 


When most people hear the words forest bathing they assume it means that you’re literally “bathing” in the forest, which you are, but not in the way people think. In other words, no water is necessary, and clothes are typically included (lol).


Ultimately forest bathing means spending time out in nature or in a nature simulated environment (think fake plants) while practicing mindfulness.

That means no phones, you’re looking up, and engaging all your senses - allowing yourself to be drawn into whatever is calling you. The intention is not to “exercise “in a natural environment, but instead to be captivated by it so nature can speak to you in only the ways that nature can speak.


The things that have come to me while out in nature have truly blown me away. For example, I just got back from a trip to the Canadian Rockies which was absolutely glorious. Four national parks and lots of amazing experiences along the way.



Witnessing driving through the mountains alone is an unparalleled experience. There is something deeply spiritual about it. And these are just a few discoveries I made while exploring rich bodies of water, trails that brought me to the most beautiful discoveries, and waterfalls that seemed to be endless...


I got an idea for a campaign which we’ll be announcing soon.

I was reminded of a project that we needed to revisit.

I was given clarity on a problem I’m currently facing.


So go ahead and get in nature and see how it speaks to you, not to mention what it does for your overall well-being.


You can ground your feet in the grass or the sand. 

You can walk through your neighborhood. 

You can visit a preserve. 

You can spend time at a park. 

You can surround yourself with plants.


Ultimately you have lots of options to experience the benefits of forest bathing.
